That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Air Duct Cleaning Before & After in San Diego, CA
We can describe Rotobrush agitation and negative-air extraction until we’re out of breath, but nothing lands like seeing the actual debris we pull from a San Diego duct system. Pet hair, sand, drywall dust from a 2007 remodel, and the gray film that builds along return plenums for twenty years. These transformations show what our Nikro units pull out, which is why we document every job with before and after photos of your own ducts, not a stock library.

Recent Transformations
Return Plenum Restoration After a Clairemont Remodel
Before
AfterThe return chase under a Clairemont hallway was pulling air through three bedrooms, which meant every square inch of that plenum was coated in years of accumulated dust. Our Rotobrush heads broke the compacted layer loose at the duct wall while the Nikro negative-pressure unit kept the loosened particles contained. The after photo shows bare galvanized metal for the first time since the house went up.
Pet Hair and Dander Removal in a Mira Mesa Two-Story
Before
AfterTwo indoor retrievers meant every supply boot in this Mira Mesa house looked like the inside of a vacuum bag. The visible hair at the register was only the top layer; our Abatement Technologies HEPA filtration kept the airborne dander from re-entering the living space while the Nikro unit pulled the bulk load out. The homeowner told us the hallway no longer smelled like wet dog when the furnace kicked on, which is the kind of feedback we work for.
Sand and Dust Extraction from a Pacific Beach Condo
Before
AfterLiving three blocks from the surf means sand works its way into everything, including the return side of a condo’s duct system. This Pacific Beach unit had a visible ridge of fine sand along the bottom of every horizontal return run, which was also recirculating through the blower cabinet. Brush agitation along the duct walls and negative-air extraction pulled the sand out, and the after photo shows a return you could practically eat off of.
Drywall Dust Cleanup in a Rancho Bernardo Custom Build

A builder handed over the keys without cleaning the ducts after drywall work, which is more common in San Diego new construction than anyone wants to admit. The supply branches in this Rancho Bernardo home were carrying fine white dust on every surface, which the furnace then pushed into bedrooms for months. Our crew ran the Rotobrush through each branch while the Nikro unit held negative pressure on the trunk, and the after photos show the metal surfaces back to spec.
Lint Clog and Airflow Restoration in a Lemon Grove Supply Run

The back bedroom in this Lemon Grove ranch never got warm in winter or cool in summer, and the tenant’s answer was to crank the thermostat. The real problem was a supply run so packed with lint and household dust that it was delivering maybe a third of the design airflow. The after photo isn’t just clean metal; it’s the reason the bedroom finally held temperature. We see this one a lot, so it’s a good reminder that airflow problems are often duct problems, not equipment problems.
Crawl Space Return Rebuild in an El Cajon 1970s Home

Flex returns in old crawl spaces collect the stuff that settles out of the air for decades, and this El Cajon home from the 1970s was a textbook example. The inner liner was coated in a fine gray film mixed with insulation bits and household dust, which was also making its way to the filter every cycle. Our crew cleaned the return from the register back to the plenum, and the after photo shows a duct wall that actually looks new again. These crawl space jobs always run slower because access is tight, but the difference in what the family breathes is worth the extra time.
